Good Morning fitness Enthusiasts,

Dora and I included our children in our 2nd episode of the Fitness Report below.

We wanted you to see the realities of healthy nutrition choices at the family level.

The Fitness Report is a little fitness and wellness skit that Dora and I are working on together for the next few weeks!

Both Dora and I would agree that eating less animal protein would be a good thing for many people.

We would also agree that Protein is probably the macro nutrient that gets missed most often in people’s nutrition plans.

If you have pain in your body then reducing  Animal Protein and refined sugar can be helpful.   Animal Protein and refined sugars can be contributing to your pain by increasing inflammation in your body.

There really are many different plant based nutritional choices you can make that can help you meet your protein requirements.

You can never go wrong eating more vegetables and live food.

Live food contains live enzymes that bring energy into the body.

Eating more live food will raise your energy.

Try to make sure that you are eating something alive each time you eat.

The problems that the mass production of meat create are contributing to the deterioration of our health.

The ill treatment of animals has a negative affect on us the consumers.

Hormone’s and antibiotics are being used on animals to increase production and size.

Animals not getting the correct nutrition or exercise and animals being raised and slaughtered in small confined spaces creates a stressed environment for the short lives of our food.

The affect of eating food that is emotionally not correct is not understood.

The costs involved with eating all organic food make that choice impossible for most people.

The cost of raising beef on our environment is really devastating.

The amount of food, water and land that is needed to raise beef cattle and the problems that arise from the elimination of their waste make meat production unsustainable for our planet.

The simplest choice any one of us can make in any day to improve our health and energy and do something valuable for our planet is to eat less meat and eat more vegetables.

Although we are not a meat free household we eat far less meat than we used to and will always encourage vegetarian or vegan alternatives first.

We do realize that each of us does have a personal protein requirement and that is related to our age, our sex, our activity level, our height our weight and our body-fat.

We weigh and measure all of our customers when they get started with the program and outline their personal macro nutrient requirements like protein.  We discuss and outline personal needs for each of our customers.

No body will ever be perfect with their food.

We all get off track sometimes.

We all feel much better when we make that decision to get back on track!

All of the workouts can be done with minimal equipment like: Dumbbells, Barbells, Swiss-balls, Medicine Balls and Bosu Balls.

We use these tools to raise intensity and add variety to your program.

If you need help acquiring any equipment items I can help to support you with that.

I will insist that you make a minimum commitment to at least  4 x 30 minute workouts each week.

Dora or I will meet you on-line for your workouts at the agreed upon time.  If you ever cannot make our agreed upon session the workouts will be recorded and uploaded to our private group facebook page so you can catch up whenever you’ve got the time.

You will always have access to that private page so you will always be able to pick up additional workouts during your week if you would like to do more.  We expect a minimum of 4 sessions to be completed to guarantee our results!

We will make sure that you are working outside of your comfort zone.  The intensity of the workout required to change your body and your life needs to be right for you.  No change happens if you don’t push yourself hard enough.

We realize that ideal intensity of effort is different for each individual and we will adjust the workouts accordingly for you.  All you need to do is show up at our arranged time and we will take care of the rest!

Your exercise may be the spark that stimulates the changes in your body, but its your nutrition that supports those workouts, your recovery and the new you!

Although we can’t be around you for every meal we can keep track of your nutrition too with a calorie and Macro Nutrient Counting and Calculating App.  We will be able to see everything you eat as long as you track your meals with the app.

In our first session we will weigh you, measure you, check your body-fat and calculate a caloric boundary for you.  We will specify a personal caloric need for you. We’ll use Macro Nutrient Balancing to make adjustments to your nutrition and customize your meal plan.  You need a personalized nutrition plan to support your workouts, your career and your day to day routine.  You keep track of your food in the app and each week Dora and I can view what’s going on and hold you accountable.

Getting what you want from your body happens by combining the right workouts for you with the right intensity of effort and the right nutrition to support those workouts and your recovery process.

It’s staying motivated that usually foils people’s plans.  No body will ever be perfect with their nutrition and exercise.  We don’t expect you to be.  You need a program that will help you get your old body and energy back fast and keep it that way for the rest of your life.  You need an organized exercise system a nutrition system and someone to hold you accountable and keep you motivated.

When we were kids we used to run around all the time?

Do you see what your kids and grand kids do now?

When they play they change direction quickly, they jump they hop, they twist and spin.

Thei energy is high and so is their mood and emotions.

Our bodies need this random high intensity movement.

Our bodies need to move in multiple planes at different speeds.

We all need the energy stimulating effects of play and movement.

We all need to be athletes in our own lives.  Regardless of our age.  Whether we really want to play sports or we just want to manage our gardens and do it without pain.

I see people get injured all the time bending over in the yard or pulling a casserole out of the oven and the reason is that we have stopped playing as we age. We’ve stopped the natural training our bodies used to receive from play when we were children.

We need to get that back into our lives.

We need to become athletes in our own lives.

Hi intensity effort is essential.  It brings us to life hormonally and emotionally.

It’s the type of effort that will change our physiology and our feelings rapidly.

True happiness is really our ability to manage our moment to moment feelings and exercise is a vital component of that.

When people reach out to me for help they are usually upset with things the way that they are…

They come to me when they are ready to make major changes.

I love that!  🙂

I like to help people make changes in their live.

I always explain that real rapid changes in weight and appearance are possible if you make a full commitment to the process.

Hey Guys,

Can you believe the weather we have been having?

Isn’t it insane!

I don’t even remember a nice day in February before!

I certainly don’t think we have ever had a nice week.

I’m sorry for the skier’s and snowmobiler’s but am loving that winter sun and mild temperatures.

If you want to be a marathoner then you have got to get out there and cover some miles to prepare that endurance base and you’ll likely spend more time in the gym in your off season.  During your race season a full body and functional strength training program 1-2 times a week will benefit you.

If you are over 35 then you have to deal with the reality of losing some of your natural growth hormone production.  This will slow down your metabolism.  It will also contribute to lower energy a deterioration of your muscle mass, an accumulation of body-fat and increase in your pain. Begin by adopting a full-body, core strengthening, high intensity interval style training program in your life.  Forget about the old split body-part routine you used in high school.  That’s not the most successful routine for you now!

Now you need something that is as efficient as it is effective.

It needs to be brief and intense to create the results you want!

Study’s show that short intense bouts of high intensity effort trigger a rapid change in our growth hormone production.  Short bursts of exercise get the job done quickly and create a controlled stress environment in your body.  “Controlled stress” is exactly the kind we need.  It’s the kind that trigger’s the release of the catacholamines.  Key fat-mobilizing, clear thinking, energy producing hormones that we need to get rapid results.

Your Rapid Fat-loss lifestyle exercise program should be built around your largest muscle groups.  Those are the ones that burn the most calories and have the greatest influence on your fat-burning hormones.

Rather than training your body like a body-builder if you want to create a lean, strong, sexy, pain free body take a functional approach to your exercise program.  Instead of breaking your body up into body parts train your body in the way it moves naturally.  Train all the potential movements that your body can do.

So train to reflect that.  Don’t get stuck on the old ideas of the past.  Your muscle’s don’t work in isolation naturally.  You don’t want to train that way.  You want your body to be fluid like a dancer.  Your training should reflect that.  You need a more athletic approach to your exercise if you want to get fit and able bodied after age 35.

You need to consider your core if you want to rehabilitate pain or restore movement in your body.

Your core muscles are more than just your abdominal muscles.

Your core muscles can be separated into two parts.  The internal core and the external core.

The external core muscles you are likely more familiar with.

They include your abdominal’s but also your inner thighs, your Gluteals, your Hamstrings, Rhomboids and Errectors.

All of your major muscle groups anchor to a core muscle.

In order to have real athletic strength or ability we need to have a strong secure core foundation.

To create pain free movement and healthy posture we need to address the function of the internal core muscles.

The internal core is where movement begins.

Before we can move our arm or legs the internal core must engage to protect the spine.

The Diaphragm at the top, Multifundus along your vertebrae at your back, your pelvic floor at the bottom of your pelvis and your Transverse Abdominis along the front of your body create your internal core musculature.

These muscle are so vital to your pain free movement but are often overlooked in a bodybuilding program.

If you have pain in your body it’s likely that there is a weakness or tightness or lack of function of your internal core structure.

The good news is that it can be corrected.

You can heal those uncomfortable pains in your body.

You can get back to your perfect health again.

You can get your lean sexy body back!

All it takes is the right exercise, the right nutrition and the right motivation to get you back to your best.

Most of us have taken the time to write out our goals before.

Most of us have felt the disappointment of being unsuccessful at accomplishing them.

As a result most of us have given up on this organized approach to creating our lives.

Consequently we end up bouncing around through our lives like a pinball allowing circumstance and situation to rule our mood and perpetuate our outcomes.

As long as we continue to evaluate our current circumstance and relive them emotionally over and over again during our days we keep ourselves trapped in our little boxes.

Stop jumping on that scale everyday!

Our lives are a reflection of the thoughts that we are thinking most frequently, most intensely and most emotionally.

What has gone wrong with our goal setting in the past?

Why have we been unsuccessful?

Why have we cast away our power to change our lives?

I think the biggest reason why so many of us have not been able to create the situations we want in our lives is because we have missed the most important part of goal setting.

Getting a clear goal is a step in creating a vision for yourself.

We all need to have a “carrot dangling in-front of our faces.”

The reason why people fail with their goals is that they fail to bring themselves to the energy and emotion of their goals each day.

It’s not enough to write out our goals for ourselves.

We need to write out goals in different aspects of our lives.

We need goals for our health our relationships, our careers, our finances and for our spirit.

These goals help us to create our vision for our lives.

They are the thoughts that we need to think to generate positive emotions in each of our moments today.

It’s those thoughts that will create the enthusiasm that we need.

We need the energy and feeling that those thoughts bring to us every day.

Those are the ideas that create our joy.

We need to take the time each day to arrive at the emotions of our vision and feel our lives inside of our minds.

By mentally rehearsing our lives daily we slowly make the shift towards them becoming our reality.

By thinking and speaking to ourselves positively we incrementally move towards our goals.

By asking ourselves the right questions we move forward instead of remaining stuck.

Don’t ask yourself why you can’t lose weight.

Don’t send your subconscious mind into a negative space.  You are creating that outcome for yourself.

Realize that you have real power inside of you.

Realize that you can apply that power in your life to create or destroy your future.

Realize that you must bring yourself to that power daily to bring it into actuality.

Don’t just write your goals down and expect them to come to you.

You need to work with your goals every step of the way!

You can change every single aspect of your life by manipulating your nutrition, your exercise and your mindset!
